MISSA Icebreaker

Summary

Saturday, March 28:

Race Committee started the day with a postponement ashore while we waited for the breeze to fill in and shift south. AP was taken down at noon when the southeasterly filled in, and three races were completed before a brief on-water postponement to reset the course for the new southwest direction. After moving the course and a quick general recall, Race Committee was able to complete the fourth race of the day and send sailors in for the day.

Thank you to our sailors, coaches, and volunteers for sticking it out in the cold weather! Looking forward to a great (and warmer) day of racing tomorrow.

Sunday, March 29:

7-15 knots from the southwest brought warmer weather and great sailing conditions for day 2 of Icebreaker. Race Committee ran four races to finish the regatta, followed by lunch and awards for the top teams.

Congratulations to all the sailors for a great season opener! Thank you to the Race Committee, the CYC staff, all our volunteers, and finally to the judges committee for being eager, ready, and ultimately bored at the lack of paperwork submitted.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
