MASSA 2026 Fleet Championship & Mallory Qualifier

Summary

Saturday, May 9:

We started off the day with a solid 8-12 knot breeze from the South, although it was a bit shifty off the docks off SSA, so we moved the course out to some more steady wind. During those races, we averaged about 12-15 knots until the rain came and made it next to impossible to set a race course. With the unstable breeze, we decided to do an AP on the water for A division until the wind filled in. The wind filled at about 3-5 knots and with a bit of patience, sailed 2 more sets to finish the day at 7:10pm. Thank you to our RC, Ian Burman, Trey Burman, Brad Julien, and Bryan Fishback. Hoping for some better wind tomorrow.

After the first day, we have the top 3 as follows: Severn, Southern Regional, and Christchurch.

Sunday, May 10:

We were greeted with a great South East breeze this morning. Which made for great racing. We were able to get 2 sets in each division before the 2pm deadline. A big thank you goes out to our RC, Ian Burman, Rob Vann, Brad Julien and Trey Burman. They did a fantastic job getting square courses set and efficiently running the races. Congrats to the top 4 teams on qualifying for the Mallory, Severn, Southern Regional, Christchurch and Key School. Also congratulations to those that qualified for the PKM regatta.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
