Cape & Islands League Championship-2026

Summary

Wednesday, May 20:

Great day in Hyannis for the Annual Cape & Islands League Championship. Schools arrived at 11, with some sailors rolling in later after doing their MCAS test. PRO Brent Jansen got things going just before noon and we were able to get in 9 races per division before 1700 in near perfect conditions - SW 9-11 kts with plenty of sunshine and a temperature not seen on the Cape since last summer. Finally, some good weather this spring.

Dartmouth HS grabbed the top spot early and ran away with the Championship. Old Rochester RHS and Cape Cod Academy battled for second all day, with podium positions only determined after the final race. One protest was heard resulting in one DSQ. Much thanks Hyannis YC for hosting this event in the eve of Figawi weekend.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
