Hosted by Norfolk Collegiate, Youth Sailing Virginia Inc. welcomed 11 teams from 10 schools for the MASSA Invitational Fleet Regatta at Ft. Monroe Virginia. The early forecast called for mild rain which occurred at the start of the regatta and continued for less than an hour. Cloudy skies persisted but then turned to sunny conditions in the mid 70s. Racing started at 9:33am. The day experienced Wind speeds between 5 to 12 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. 12 races in each division were completed. Several protests were heard and adjudicated ashore.
Today the competitors met at 8:30 to very light winds. Two races (13A and 14A) were completed but the 3rd race, which would have been the first race in the B Division (13B) could not be completed as the wind died. Therefore the race was called, and the previous days finals were made final. The top three finishers in order are: 1st Place - Severn Admirals 2nd Place - Christ Church Seahorses 1 3rd Place - Bishop O'Connell Knights. The race committee would like to thank all participants, and volunteers who make such events possible and not worthy. Thank you.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
