The Great Oaks Qualifier was hosted by Sharon High School on Lake Massapoag on a cold, cloudy day. The wind was out of the North at 8 -12 MPH and 12 races were completed. Uncharacteristically for the lake, the course was not moved the whole day with the RC finding the middle between shifts in both directions at about 15 degrees. The pressure varied in relatively small bands at short intervals, and the key to success was finding that pressure. The scoring was close the entire day, ending with a tie in points for first. Fairfield Ludlowe won the tiebreaker over Moses Brown and East Greenwich finished third only 4 points behind. Congratulations to those three teams for qualifying for the Great Oaks Regatta in New Orleans.
