Great albeit cold day for team racing in Black Rock Harbor.
Racing was closer than an initial glance at the scores might indicate. Weston was winning at points in all 3 races, and all 3 featured some compelling action between boats on opposing teams.
Congratulations to Wilton HS on their first ever team racing match victory. Props to Weston as well for putting up a good fight, with particular props to Will Walker and Declan Judge for setting multiple well-executed mark traps to get their team back in the game. It seems Weston is already chomping at the bit to flip these scores the other way during the next showdown with Wilton!
These two squads are very young, and it thus seems the future is bright for the inland Fairfield County teams.
