Thirteen teams representing 10 schools met on the Lafayette River for fleet competition on a beautiful spring day with the air temperature reaching 80 degrees. Winds were initially SSW, in the mid teens with gusts just over 20mph, clocking to WSW and building just after 1:00 to high teens with gusts into the mid 20's when racing was called.
Sailors completed 5A and 4B races on a W-4 course. The last A race was deleted from scoring in order to have an even number of races. One boat had dropped their mast in the last A race. Two protests were heard resulting in three SQ's.
Norfolk Collegiate Team 2 took first place with 17 points followed by Kecoughtan in second place with 24 points, and Christchurch Team 1 in third place with 28 points.
