With a N breeze, everyone was greeted with cooler temps and 15 knots to start the morning. 9:30am first warning to finish the 3rd Round Robin. After the the RR was complete, we went into the first of two final fours. Breeze was forecasted to lighten up throughout the day which it did, going down to 7-9 knots. We started the last final four around 1pm and completed just before the cut off at 2pm. 1 breakdown hearing and 1 redress hearing were on shore after racing. No redresses were given.
A MASSIVE THANK YOU to the Chief Umpire, Carter Little, and his team of Umpires. Another HUGE THANK YOU to our PRO, Chip Till and all the RC Volunteers. They did a fabulous job at providing square and fair racing for all the teams. A total of 75 races were completed over the weekend.
Congratulations to all teams and a big thank you for traveling up to CYC 1853 to compete. St Thomas Aquinas finished in 3rd place. MAST Academy finished in 2nd place. And in 1st place with a record of 18/6 goes to Antilles. The top 2 teams from this regatta qualify to the Baker Nationals in a few weeks. Good luck and represent SAISA well!
