Sail Newport's Friday Night Lights Two

Summary

Friday, May 2:

Just an amazing afternoon of sailing! Thank you to Portsmouth high school for hosting the pizza party after sailing, and of course to Sail Newport for hosting these incredibly special Friday. fleet races. The breeze was 14 to sometimes touching 20 kn a little shifty but the racecourse right off the pier was spectacular. Brad Read, the Executive Director of Sail. Newport ran the races today with help from Tommy Henshaw. Watching from the water, there needs to be a bit more care in avoiding collisions! There were a few egregious fouls at the starting line and the Winward Mark, where collisions could have been avoided and believe it or not there was no one spinning. Top five for the day were" 5) The Prout School 4) East Greenwich 3) Portsmouth 2) Wheeler 1) St. Georges

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
