NESSA Herreshoff Qualifier - Hingham

Sunday, May 11:

The Herreshoff qualifier at Hingham Yacht Club was a great day of sailing. Winds were out of the northwest sustained 12mph to 15 mph with Gusts to 20mph. Temp was around 65 degrees with a cold breeze. Clear blue skies. We got seven races in for each fleet for total of 14 races for the day. There was plenty of action on the course choppy water, wind verse current effect, wind was up and down all day but a sporty day all day. Race course was just east of Hingham yacht club , outside mooring field. Rob Hurd and Joe Griffin were on R.c. Boat, while Gary Werden was on land handling protests with participating coaches. Hingham had plenty of support boats to operate in the sporty conditions. W4 courses were run all day.
