NJISA 2025 Back to School Regatta

Summary

Sunday, September 14:

The NJISA Back to School Regatta saw a beautiful mid-70 degree day in Toms River, as 11 schools made up 16 teams on the water. After an hour postponement on land, an easterly breeze filled in, albeit light and shifty at times. With some time lost due to the postponement and course changes, 10 W4 races were completed by 1500.

Christian Brothers Academy emerged as the winner, staying the most consistent during the series. Southern Regional was a comfortable second, while Donovan Catholic was a strong third place. CBA's Christopher Small and Christian Diaz won A Division by seven points over Donovan's Liam Marcell and Grace Torpey. In B Division, Southern's Gannon Botwinick, Ella Linkewich and Mia Linkewich took first by winning all but one race, followed by CBA's Christos Lambrou and Joseph Borrachia.

Thank you to Chloe Genakos and Amanda Roske for serving as race committee and Jason Lutz for tending to the course. As always, thank you to TRYC and the BBYRA for the support of our regattas.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
