2024 Great Lakes Championships

Summary

Saturday, October 19:

All 20 teams were faced with a blustery day with large swings in the wind direction. Our race committee was able to get through race 6A before the wind settled down for the evening. The day ended with close points in the top 6. The protest committee heard 1 redress hearing which was granted.

Sunday, October 20:

The day started with race 5B and the day continued on through 5 full sets so 10 races for each division to complete the regatta. The wind was much steadier from the SW which provided shifty but very sailable conditions and a pressure range of 8-15kts. Congratulations to Lake Forest, Arrowhead, Black River and Jones College Prep for qualifying for the Atlantic Coast Championship. Thank you to our race committee and volunteers!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
